While scanning the article, I noticed that there was a plethora of information for educators. I really liked that it explained the pedagogy in detail. I feel as a future teacher, I sometimes wonder “Why would I ever teach this to kids?” This article did a good job of explaining the “why”. The think I liked the most of the article, however, was not the section regarding the pedagogical issues of teaching media literacy. The two pages, 37 and 47, which were framework worksheets regarding the Q/Tips (Questions/Tips) stuck out to me as being a fantastic resource for both students and teachers when this lesson is being taught. A quick reference page is always helpful. I also really liked the area which discussed the alternate questions for different ages and abilities. As the guardian of a special needs student, it is nice to see how certain lessons can be altered to make the lesson accessible for all students.
